CINDERFORD director of rugby Paul Morris says his side are the talk of the league after the Foresters recorded a record away win at Henley Hawks on Saturday.
Morris’ men won 90-17 to pick up their third bonus point win in a row and are sitting pretty atop National Two South.
“I think they were a bit depleted with all due respect, but not to the extent that they should have suffered as they did.
“I don’t think it was one of their best days but we’ve certainly had worse ones!
“I think they are a better side than what they showed against us and I also think the same for Clifton.
“We clearly had a good day and played very well and we have a very good side.
“Everybody is talking about us in this league.
“Clifton gave it large about the budgets we have but they’re the same as last year and if people don’t want to accept that, that’s up to them. I don’t care.
“We’ve recruited strong players and nurtured players who have grown up into good rugby players. That is clear with the likes of Jack Shields and Dale Lemon.
“We’ve also not had the Gloucester players available yet and it’s not clear when that’ll happen with A-League commitments.
“We’ve had a great deal of pleasure from the last three games. It’s been a statement to ourselves as much as to the rest of the league.
“We want to go out and win every week and if people want to talk about us that’s fine.
“But we’re now focussing on September 23 and London Irish Wild Geese in the same way that last week we were focussing on September 16 and Henley.
“With the greatest respect to them, we’re looking forward to what we believe is a winnable game on Saturday.
“We’ve got Redingensians away and then Chinnor at home which are fixtures against two sides that beat us home and away last year.
“If then we are still unbeaten after six games that will be something.”
