JOSH Adams said he has been ‘in a whirlwind’ since he was sent to Cinderford to get some game experience by Worcester Warriors three years ago.
Last Saturday, the winger shook hands and received a medal from HRH The Duke of Cambridge at Cardiff’s Principality Stadium as a Six Nations Championship Grand Slam winner.
His rise from a player who could not get a game with Worcester Warriors to a man who has been hailed as ‘the discovery of the Six Nations’ proves that belief and dedication can bring enormous triumphs.
Adams scored three tries during the tournament but could not add to that total in Wales’ 25-7 victory over Ireland that gave them a clean sweep of victories over all the other nations.
Yet playing in front of a sell-out crowd in Cardiff, with millions watching on TV and around the city last Saturday is in stark contrast to the slightly smaller audiences who watched him at Dockham Road back in 2015-16 season.
And, on Tuesday evening after The Forester went to press, it was confirmed that Adams has joined Cardiff Blues next season from Worcester.
