Yobs launched an attack on a teenage driver while he sat in his car in Lydney.

The 17-year-old boy, who lives in the town, was approached by three male youths who punched him several times through the open window of the car.

When the victim tried to drive away they punched and kicked the silver Rover Mini Mayfair causing several dents to the bodywork.

The attack happened in Albert Street between 8.45pm and 9pm on Friday.
