Forest of Dean District Council has confirmed changes to its parking regulations following the making of the Forest of Dean District Council (Off-Street Parking Places) Order 2012 Variation No. 1 of 2025. The order, made on November 4 , will come into effect on December 1 2025.

The variation introduces several key updates: Pyarts Court Car Park in Coleford and residents’ parking bays at the council car park will now be incorporated into the official parking order. In addition, electric vehicle charging bays will be included in existing parking places and added to specific sites, including Rowandean car park (Cinderford), Butlers’ Mead (Blakeney), and Grange Lane (Littledean).

The changes aim to modernise parking management and enforcement practices, reflecting the growing demand for EV infrastructure and improved facilities for residents. The order otherwise remains in full force and effect.

Copies of the variation order can be viewed free of charge at Customer Services, High Street, Coleford, or online at www.fdean.gov.uk. Anyone wishing to challenge the validity of the order must apply to the High Court within six weeks of its making.
