The Forest of Dean District Council has opened its latest “Call for Sites”, inviting landowners to propose land that could help shape where new homes and jobs are built in future years. The appeal feeds into the district’s Strategic Housing and Economic Land Availability Assessment (SHELAA), updated annually to map out potential housing, employment and traveller‑community plots across the district.

The council stresses that submitting a site does not mean it will be allocated, but ensures it is assessed and logged for future planning decisions under the emerging Local Plan. Landowners or agents can submit locations online, by email or in writing, but all entries must be received by March 31 to be considered in this year’s assessment. Late submissions will roll over to the next review.

Previously submitted sites only need resending if details have changed. All site information will be published on the council’s website.
