THREE young children are lucky to be alive after a crash near the Harts Barn Craft Centre in Longhope on Monday morning.
The accident involved a green Mazda MX5, a blue Ford Focus, and a Volco tipper lorry.
An 11-year-old boy and a 13-year-old girl had to be cut out of the Ford Focus by the fire service.
The boy was taken by air ambulance to
Frenchay Hospital in Bristol, with what was initially considered to be 'potentially life threatening injuries'.
However, his condition is now believed to be less serious and the injuries minor.
Two other children, a boy aged 12 and a girl aged 13, also suffered minor injuries while a woman suffered minor head injuries.
A senior firefighter at the scene said he had 'never seen anyone get out of a car like that alive.'
