A warrant has been issued for the arrest of a 47-year-old woman accused of causing £2,500 worth of damage to public flower displays in the centre of Cinderford.

Kerry Sheridan, formerly of Coleford, was due before Cheltenham Magistrates’ Court last week to face a charge of criminal damage but she failed to attend.

Sheridan is charged that on 27th August she destroyed Cinderford Town Council flower displays valued at £2,500 in the High Street.

The charge alleges that she either intended to cause the damage or was reckless about whether there would be damage.

She has not yet entered a plea to the charge.

At the time of the damage and her subsequent arrest Cinderford Town Council issued a public thank you to the Forest North Neighbourhood Policing Team for their work investigating the incident.

A police spokesperson said at the time “We take reports of antisocial behaviour and criminal damage seriously. We will investigate reports and work to bring offenders of this kind of behaviour to justice.”
