A BREAM woman has been found guilty of being the owner of an XL Bully which was dangerously out of control, and injured a woman in February 2025.

Phillipa Tovey, 53, of Green Acre, denied the charge in August last year.

However, following a trial at Cheltenham Magistrates' Court on October 14, Tovey was found guilty of being the person in charge of a dog dangerously out of control causing injury, contrary to the Dangerous Dogs Act.

She was ordered to pay £250 in costs and an £84 surcharge.

Tovey was also fined £210 and ordered to pay £400 compensation.
