CINDERFORD swimmers won the C final of the Cotswold League with a young team who have impressed throughout the series.

In the final at Keynsham they beat Lydney into second place with 240 points against 218.

A spokesperson for the club said: "Their commitment to the club and to their teammates has been commendable."

With no open females available, the younger swimmers stepped up to the plate with 14-year-olds Rebecca and Chloe Howard swimming in both the under 15 and open age groups.

Chloe won the 100m IM taking 15 seconds off her 2011 time and improving her 50m butterfly time. Rebecca improved her 50m and 100m freestyle times and 12-year-old Morgan Jones helped them out, swimming the open 100m breaststroke.
