Cinderford Town's Southern League derby with Bishop's Cleeve was abandoned after 65 minutes of play at The Causeway on Tuesday night.

Cleeve were leading 2-0 when the ref called the game off because the pitch was waterlogged.

IN-FORM Didcot stretched their unbeaten run to seven games with this deserved victory over Cinderford at Loop Meadow.

Following Ben John's decision to leave The Causeway, Tom Betts started between the sticks for the visitors.

The home side almost went ahead on eight minutes when Elliott Osborne-Ricketts's shot deflected off Lance Williams but was turned aside by Betts.

Five minutes later, however, Brian Bowles managed to get on the end of a near-post cross and James Clark made no mistake from close-range.

Cinderford did have the ball in the net on a rare foray forward but the effort was ruled out for offside. Lance Williams also netted for the home side but his effort was deemed offside.

Matt Barnes volleyed over the bar for the visitors just before the break.

In the second half Lewis Sommers forced a good save from Belloli.

On 63 minutes Didcot finally doubled their advantage. Morgan Williams had a shot hacked off the line by Warren Archer, but Cinderford failed to clear the resulting corner and Osborne-Ricketts pounced. Williams made it 3-0 with a 20-yard effort, although Sommers pegged a goal back late in the match with a header.
