SKIPPER Tristan Veale says there's no chance of the side breaking up, following Newent' s incredible RFU Junior Vase success at Twickenham on Saturday.
Veale, who has played for the club since he was a boy, says the squad is so close-knit, no one wants to play for anyone else. Newent comfortably saw off Baildon by 58-29.
After getting his hands on the Junior Vase, Veale said: "I'm ecstatic. We've done what we set out to do. We were nervous before the game but we fronted up. We had an incredible amount of support behind us and I can't thank them enough, they've been phenomenal. There were even schoolchildren waiting to wave us off."
In stark contrast, Drybrook skipper Simon Rugman was left wondering what might have been, following his side's 29-25 RFU Senior Vase defeat to Selby.
