TRIBUTES have been paid to Lydney sporting star John Morris, who sadly died last Wednesday aged 82.

‘Copper’ Morris was Sports Master at Lydney Grammar School and later Whitecross School and was the longest serving captain of the town’s rugby club and was also a keen cricketer, playing well into his fifties.
