CINDERFORD’S player development manager Paul Morris will temporarily head up Cinderford Rugby Club’s playing arm.
Morris will take charge of the club’s first and United XV selection for their travel to Esher this weekend after the departure of director of rugby Nic Corrigan.
Clive Stuart-Smith will continue in the lead role of attack coach while assistant coaches Richard Planchant and Seb Merrit also remain in place.
Morris spelled out his playing philosophy at a packed player meeting before Tuesday night’s training session at St Peter’s School Sports Hall.
The well respected and experienced former Old Pats and Gloucester U20s coach, who has steered Cinderford’s successful United XV for several years, will chair team selection with input from Stuart-Smith and the rest of the coaching staff.
Teams for the club’s matches will be announced at Thursday evening training at Dockham Road.
