NATASHA Hunt helped a Great British side to third place in the Rugby Europe Grand Prix Seven Series this weekend, scoring against some of her teammates in the process.

Team GB submitted two sides for the tournament in Kazan, Russia as former Drybrook RFC player Hunt lined up for GB Lions.

She scored twice in the pool stages, against Portugal and Spain, as the Lions won all three games in Pool C.

They defeated the Iberian nations 40-0 and 62-0 respectively, as well as winning 48-0 against Ukraine.

Hunt’s side then took on GB Royals, their compatriots and teammates, when Hunt added her third and final try of the tournament in a 25-5 win. The Royals went on to win the tournament’s Plate.

However, a 19-17 loss to Russia in the semi-final cut short their hopes of victory.

They then saw off Ireland 32-0 in the third place play-off.
