CINDERFORD RFC have fixed a leaky problem off the pitch by replacing the old roof of their Dockham Road changing rooms.

The £36,500 project was aided by a grant from Sport England and has allowed the club to sort out the old asbestos roof, according to secretary John Wood.

MP Mark Harper will be at the National Two South club’s next home game, on Saturday January 28, to officially present the improved facilities.

The costs of the improvements will also be offset slightly by a £250 donation given to the club by the Buckingham Group, who are working on the spine road for the town’s Northern Quarter development.

“We would like to thank the Buckingham Group for their kind gesture,” said club chairman Rob Worgan.

“The donation will help with the costs of the recent changing room improvements which are a benefit to the whole club.”
