TWO Drybrook youngsters have been selected as part of the South West Under-18s girls squad.

Number eight Kirsty Gwilliam, 17, and 16-year-old fly-half Leah Teague were both selected for the regional squad after attending trials earlier this month.

The two Drybrook Under-18 girls members undertook a two-hour skills and performance assessment alongside more than 80 other girls from Gloucestershire, Devon, Cornwall, Dorset, Somerset, Wiltshire, Berkshire and Oxfordshire.

“Both Kirsty and Leah are very, very talented rugby players,” Drybrook Under-18s girls head coach Neil Morgan said.

“They are strong and determined, and they both have true dedication and commitment.

“They so deserve to have been selected to represent the South West, and everyone at Drybrook is so pleased and proud of them.”

The girls will now attend weekend training camps and take part in games versus other divisional areas.
