CINDERFORD’S Sam Baker and departing captain Mike Wilcox have both been called up to the England Counties side to tour Canada this month.
They will be joined by ex-Dockham Road man Leo Fielding and fellow Gloucestershire colleague Seb Rodwell.
Wilcox called the selection ’an honour’ and expressed his excitement to be joined by wing Baker.
The tour begins on Friday, June 3 in Vancouver with a match against BC Bears, who the Counties team last played on the 2010 Canada tour.
The team will then travel 600 miles to Calgary where they will face Prairie Wolf Pack, winners of the 2015 Canadian Rugby Championship, on Tuesday June 7.
Their final match will be against Ontario Blues in Toronto on Saturday June 11, who they beat 32-26 when the teams last met in 2010.
