CINDERFORD director of rugby Paul Morris admits his side will face a tough task to remain competitive in an ever-improving National League One – but insists the Foresters are up for the challenge.
Morris’ men finished in the top half last term, securing an eighth place end in English rugby’s third tier but Morris believes the division will be harder again.
The signings of Ed Sheldon and loanee Mat Gilbert, from Hartpury, and ex-Newent men Will Mansfield and James Dean has galvanised the Cinderford squad.
“We’re going to have to work twice as hard just to stand still,” he said.
“I think we have improved. We have much more attacking flair and Ed Sheldon and James Butler have added that.
“Mat Gilbert has come in on loan from Hartpury and Tyler Jerrum have been impressive and will be in the mix.
