IT’S been a busy week at Dockham Road as Cinderford confirmed two significant new signings as well as retaining the bulk of their successful squad.
Director of rugby Paul Morris (pictured right) has brought in Hartpury wing Ed Sheldon and highly-rated Gloucester youngster Joe Mullis while confirming 21 players of last season’s squad have agreed to battle in another National League One campaign.
Sheldon, 25, and Mullis, 22, will join up with Cinderford when the Forest side begin pre-season training next Tuesday, July 2.
Sheldon has two seasons in the Championship under his belt having also been Birmingham Moseley’s top try scorer in the 2016-17 National One season, while Mullis has 16 appearances under dual-registration for Cinderford.
Mullis made his full Gloucester debut against Saracens in November 2016 – a 36-32 win in which he also scored the Cherry and Whites’ first try – before also turning out for Hartpury.
“Ed is an excellent signing for us,” Morris said.
