IT was looking slighly concerning for Berry Hill at the start of October. Their return to the Gloucester Premier League, after winning the Gloucester One division last season, was not going well.

Four games down and four defeats, they lay bottom of the table.

However, things changed.

Four matches further on and Berry Hill have turned it around, going four matches unbeaten and climbing to mid-table.

And now they get ready to tackle the league leaders on Saturday, looking to cause an upset and continue that run of success.

A couple of big defeats at the start of the season, the first at Widden Old Boys who had finished runners-up in Gloucester One to Hill last season, saw them slump.

But head coach Ady Powles, in his third year in charge at the club, stresses that those defeats were against tough opposition and three were on the road.
