THE mother of 14-year-old Harry Selwyn-Phillips, who fractured his neck while playing rugby, said she was 'overwhelmed' after a fun day in her son's honour raised £2,500.
The event, held at Berry Hill Rugby Club where Harry has enjoyed the sport for the last eight years, saw competitors take part in a 'mud run' assault course before settling in the clubhouse to watch England v New Zealand.
"It was just a bit muddier than we expected!" said Carla Selwyn-Phillips.
"The day went really, really well. The weather was terrible but it didn't affect the day too much and it still went ahead. In the afternoon the rain cleared up and it was really great day."
