DEBUTS don't come any more memorable than Tom Pass's for Bream Cricket Club.
The former Forest Green Rovers goalkeeper smashed the highest individual score in the club's history in a 152-run Forest League win over Newent III.
Opening the batting, Tom scored a stunning 180 out of a winning score of 280-8.
Bream skipper Chris Farr said: "Tom's an all-rounder who used to play cricket for Chepstow.
"He's just moved into the village and doesn't want too much travelling.
"He can't play every game for us but he'll be a handy man to have around when available."
The new boy found himself out in the middle much earlier than even he expected, as his side's acting captain.
With the rest of the Bream side running late, Tom was the only one there when Newent skipper Terry Nixon wanted to toss the coin for the start of the match.
Regular Bream skipper Chris Farr added: "He won the toss and wanted to have a bat.
"If I had been there, I would probably have bowled!"
