ANDY Lewis has claimed yet another Paratriathlon gong, winning the World Cup in Florida.

Lewis finished in 1.11.50, over a minute ahead of second-placed Allan Armstrong of the USA after the race on Sunday, October 8 was changed to a duathlon.

Lewis, from Whitecroft, completed the 2.5km run in 09.38 before tackling an 18km bike course in 31.56.

The final stage, a 5km run, saw him home in 27.18.

The Paralympic, World and European champion tried out a new set-up in what he described as a ’non-pressure’ race, as he swam without a wetsuit for the first time.

He also tried out a new bike set-up and a different blade for running.

Adam Popp, also of the USA, came third.
