TONY Farr praised his students after a successful showing at the 12th open Tae Kwon-Do World Championships in Birmingham last weekend.
The tournament hosted more than 2,000 competitors from 27 countries worldwide and Master Farr’s Lydney club picked up a number of honours.
Leanne O’Donnell took bronze in ladies heavy weight sparring, Helen Snowdon took bronze for ladies lightweight sparring and Jessica Colegate took a bronze in individual sparring and silver in the team event.
Georgia Kear took bronze in individual junior girls sparring and gold in the team event, while Tyler Burton took silver in junior boys black belt patterns.
“It was a fabulous weekend overall,” Master Farr said.
“I’m very proud of all of the students who took part in the event.”
