DESPITE rattling up 48 points with seven tries, Duncan Bell says Lydney's defensive performance against Redingensians gave him the most satisfaction.

Bell said: "Before the sending off we didn't even touch the ball. We hardly got out of our own half for half-an-hour but I was happy.

We've worked hard on our defence after the Old Reds game, where we were shocking.

We never panicked and I was proud of the boys. I've harked on about control and patience and we had both today."
