LYDNEY and Hartpury Women both earned semi-final places in cup competitions on Sunday.

Hartpury Women are through to the semi-finals of the Gordon Perrett Cup after a local derby win over Newent Town Women.

Hartpury, who are second in the Gloucestershire County Women’s League, scored five unanswered goals in the league cup competition against the Daffs who occupy the same position in Division Two.

Keeley Borkowski scored twice for Hartpury with the other goals coming from Hannah Felton, Hollie Handisides and substitute Tilly Plummer.

Lydney Town Ladies came from behind at half-time to secure their place in the last four of the Sue Henson-Green Cup.

Donna Cairney and Tia Watts scored for the fourth division side against Kingswood who are pushing for promotion from Division Three.

Mitcheldean SC are also through to the competition’s semi-final after a walkover against Ashton Keynes Youth

Luke Pugh scored four goals as North Gloucestershire League Division Three leaders English Bicknor Reserves beat strugglers Rank Outsiders Reserves 0-6.

Bicknor were ahead 0-4 at the break and their other goals came from James Blackwell and Michael Nelson.

Elsewhere in Division Three, a Shane Abel gave Westbury United Reserves a 1-0 win over Tidenham Reserves.

In the Premier Division, goals either side of half-time saw Howle Hill beat bottom side Ellwood 0-2.

The goals from Ben Hall and Conner Watkins saw Hill into fourth in the table.

A 38th minute goal by Thomas Tomlins gave Milkwall a 0-1 over Broadwell Reserves.

Milkwall remain in eighth place after the win over the side who had started the day in fourth.

In Division One, Redmarley and Tibberton United were 2-0 up within five minutes as they went on to beat Mushet and Coalway Reserves 5-1.

Luke Gibbons opened the scoring after three minutes and Tom Quick doubled the advantage two minutes later.

John Anderson added a third after 20 minutes and United went into the break 3-0 up.

Elijah Featherstone made it four after 70 minutes and substitute Aaron Smith scored the fifth with 10 minutes remaining.

Mushet’s goal was scored by Jake Wassell.

Redmarley moved into fifth as a result of the win while Mushet are hovering above the relegation zone.

Lydbrook Athletic Reserves kept up their push for promotion with a 0-2 win at Harrow Hill Reserves.

Substitutes Jonathan Griffiths and Carl Stevens got the goals which secured the three points.

Athletic had started the day in third and were ahead of the hosts by virtue of goal difference.

The win mean now put them three points behind second-placed Redbrook Rovers, in the promotion spots, and five behind leaders Staunton and Corse Reserves.

There were five goals at Sling where the home side beat Ruardean Utd 3-2.

Two quick-fire goals in the second half helped Sling to victory after they had gone into the break at 1-2 down.

His 64th and 70th minute strikes added to the first half goal from Ashton Brisland.

Henry Godwin and Alex Rowles scored for Ruardean but their cause was not helped by a red card.

Yorkley had a comfortable 3-0 win at Ruardean Hill Rangers Reserves with goals from Daunte Davis, Charlie Holford and Danny Hudson.

The only game in Division Two ended in a 2-2 draw.

Christian Cox and Carl James scored for Blakeney Reserves in their game at Bream Reserves.
