LYDNEY coach Duncan Bell insists the Severnsiders are good enough to avoid the drop from National Two South.

Bell's men ended a poor run of results on Saturday with a much-needed 30-24 victory over Chinnor at Regenthsolme.

The return of prop Olly Day - and Bell himself - shored up the creaking front-row and allowed the backs to finally play with some go-forward ball.

Bell said: "Some of the games have been very disappointing but we are still fighting and it's very early in the season.
