MARK Allen has stepped down as manager of Broadwell Football Club.

He will be replaced by Gary Hurcombe, who is returning for another stint in charge of the Hawthorns club.

Gary will be assisted by Lee Williams.

After three years, Allen felt he had taken the club as far as he could.

He met all the objectives set him by the committee, bringing in younger players and freshening up the first-team squad with new blood, whilst maintaining a top six position in the Northern Senior League.

Hurcombe brings a wealth of experience.

Both he and assistant Williams hold UEFA B coaching badges.
