A TOTAL of 121 gymnasts competed at the Forest of Dean Gymnastics Club Championships.

There were some high scorers on floor in the novice events.

Ellie Pritchard won the Novice One Age Seven gold medal after a clean floor routine scored 12.6.

Zoe Pritchard followed close behind with 12.3 on floor and 10.7 on vault.

In the Novice One Age Eight group, Charlotte Cotterell scored an outstanding 12.5 on floor with 10.8 on vault.

Jasmine Heenan came second with 12.3 on floor and 10.7 on vault.

A determined Toby Sampson took gold in the boys' Novice One Age Seven category, ahead of Harrison Fullthorpe and Matthew Campbell.

Lillian Randall became Grade 14 Under-Eights Apparatus champion with an outstanding score of 47.2. Lillian performed calmly and carefully on floor, then followed this with a confident asymmetric bar routine. Sophie Campbell won the silver medal in this group and Ione James was third.
