KAREN ALEXANDER won the Miners’ Lamp Trophy with her level par 36 on the Forest Hills ladies’ away day at a challenging Raglan course

Andy Ward won Division One of the Seniors’ Yellow Tee Stableford with 39.

Tim Hollingsworth was second on 38, and Andy Shenton third.

Adrian Vine won Division Two with 39. Roger Hall was second on countback from John Auton.

The highest score of the day was Andy Wright’s five under 41 in Division Three.

Mike Wallis took second on countback from Brian Evans.

In the County Seniors’ Scratch Foursomes Salver against Long Ashton, Mark Barnard and Simon Killen got the home team off to a cracking start with an outstanding 4&2 victory.

Mike Burris and Paul Burris won one up while Captain Kev Doyle and Dave Howard conceded 2&1 as Forest Hills won 2-1.

Kieran Jones won Division One of the Saturday Stableford with a six under 42.

Rob Brown was second with 37 with countback sorting Terry Davies, Andy Ward, Rob Smith and Rob Norris on a level 36

The highest score was in Division Two with Daniel Lord finishing eight under on 44.

Both North Gloucestershire Foursomes teams took on Ross who chose to play the fixtures at home on the same day.

In the opener what was probably the strongest pairing of James Bath and Ross Jenkins, lost 3&1.

Paul ‘Sty’ Williams and Matt McGirr lost 2&1 while Hayden Burford and Ryan Macdonald then managed a well earned half before James Prior and Phil Evans’s 3&1 loss condemned the Foresters to defeat.

The Captain and Josh Matthews also lost 3&1 and in the last match, Keelan Reddan and Fraser Freeman-Jones managed won one up for Ross 4.5-1.5 Forest Hills.

In the B Team fixture only one match went farther than the 16th.

Steve Jones and Gary Davies lost 3&2 whilePaul McLean and Tony Laws lost by the same score.

Keiran Fullwood and Derek Freeman-Jones lost 5 & 4. Gary Reddan and Steve Goode also lost 3&2, and Rowland Joyce and Pat Simcoe went down 5&4.

Dave Wilding and Dave Howard saved the whitewash with a 2 & 1 victory, to leave the final scoreline: Ross 5-1 Forest Hills.

The Sunday competition was a triple header by handicap.

Division One was The Gibson Scratch for handicap 0-9 , a gross score medal.

It was won by Lee Hanson, with his one under 71, two shots ahead of Mike Burris and three clear of Paul ‘Sty’ Williams, who finished on 74.

In Division Two The Hall Trophy, for handicap 10- 8) was won on countback, by Ben Osborne, with a back nine score of 37 in his 77- 10-67. Rylee Wilkins was second, by virtue of taking 38 shots on his homeward nine. Brandon Leach was third with a nett 68.

The Al-Ann Trophy in Division Three for handicap 19-24, was retained by Geoff Norris with 90-19-71.

Tom Knight was second with a nett 74, and Joseph Haskett third with 76.

The Seniors Team Bowmaker, that carried was won by Mike Connon, Terry Osborne, Tim Hollingworth and Alex Harvey, with their nine under 81. Andy Wright, Bob Gibson, Steve Keepax and Phil Gwynne were second with 79 .
