JOANNE McCulloch won the Inaugural Cup at Forest Hills, writes Geoff Norris.

Her 96-22-74 was three shots ahead of Jean Hosford with Carol Verrier third.

The course played firm and fast for the Seniors Individual Yellow Tee Stableford with some of the pins in challenging positions.

Andy Ward won Division One, with a level par 36 points. Richard Medlin was second with 35, and Andy Shenton third. Gerald Woodley was first in Division Two with a one over 35.

Ashley Drew was second on countback from Bob Gibson.

Seniors debutant Steve Graham won Division Three with 35. Martin Shipley was second on countback from Colin Laver.

Andy Shenton with 37 points won the Saturday Stableford Division One on countback from Rob Brown and Liam Maskell, with Kevin Carpenter fourth on 36.

Darren Passway finished well ahead of William Bailey, Trevor Baker and David Meek with 37 in Division Two.

Steve Graham and Mark McGirr won The Norris Decanter with 74 points, were Steve Graham and Mark McGirr.

The Seniors faced Lydney in their match and in the opener home captain Kev Doyle and Roger Hall won 5&4 against visiting skipper Adrian Carter and Mark Lightbound.

Pat Simcoe and Geoff Norris then won 3&1 against Paul Challenger and Kevin Grant

Kev Burford and David Howard beat Brian Snook and Wayne Connect on up.

Paul Adams and Neil James halved their game against Alan Robinson and Chris Johnson.

That was the high point for Lydney as Paul Sologub and Richard Medlin triumphed 3&2 over Stuart Kear and Paul Bircher.

Phil Gwynne and Adrian Vines won two up, against Alan Robins and Jones Mills before Colin White and Bob Gibson won 3&1, against Mark Anderson and Mal Alderson for Forest Hills 6.5-0.5 Lydney.
