THE selection process to recruit a new manager at Cinderford Town begins this week, following the departures of Allan Gough and Chris Burns.
Burns resigned after last week’s 2-0 home loss to Cirencester Town and Gough followed him out of the door after turning down a physio job at the club.
Under-18s manager Brian Burke and head of youth Rich Wilkins were installed as caretaker managers for the 1-0 home loss to Chesham United and will remain in charge for the FA Trophy visit to Merthyr Town on Saturday.
"We have now began the process to appoint the new manager," a club statement read.
"A four man selection committee has been put into place and have already reviewed the first eight CVs that have been submitted.
"Interviews for the vacancy will begin shortly but there is still time for interested candidates to submit a CV.
"The temporary management team of Brian Burke and assistant Rich Wilkins will continue to lead the team for this Saturdays FA Trophy match vs Merthyr Town.
"More updates will be added as and when we have relevant information."
