HARTPURY FC continued their impressive form with a commanding 4-0 victory over Shaftesbury AFC at the 4ED Hartpury Stadium on Saturday.
Billy Osborn scored twice, while Nathan Jenkins and Morgan Ewing also found the net as the Acorns secured their third successive Southern League Division One South victory.
The result extended Hartpury's unbeaten run to five matches, with Jenkins playing a decisive role in all four goals.
After a quiet opening, Louis Manning tested visiting goalkeeper Alex Rutter before Osborn went close following another delivery from Manning.
Hartpury broke the deadlock in the 24th minute when Jenkins released Osborn, who rounded Rutter before finishing into an empty net.
Drew Robinson then produced an important sliding challenge to deny Jack Hoey as the hosts maintained their narrow advantage until half-time.
The Acorns doubled their lead five minutes after the restart when Jenkins again supplied Osborn, who drove his second goal into the bottom corner.
Shaftesbury threatened through Brett Pitman and Hoey, but Hartpury continued creating opportunities at the opposite end.
Noah Coates saw a header saved before striking the post after Rutter parried an effort from Jenkins.
The midfielder eventually added Hartpury's third in the 66th minute, curling a superb effort into the top corner from 18 yards.
Shaftesbury struggled to mount a comeback, with Pitman finding the side netting and Tom Hewlett firing over.
Ewing completed the scoring in the closing minutes, sweeping home from close range following another excellent pass from Jenkins.
The comprehensive victory maintained Hartpury's winning momentum as they continue their push towards the top of the Southern League Division One South table.
The Acorns now turn their attention to Saturday's away fixture against Portland United, hoping to extend their unbeaten sequence to six matches.
