A new team has joined a Forest football club and has provided new kit

Soudley Football Club is being sponsored by the home visits hearing team at Specsavers in Bristol.

The Specsavers team is providing kit for the first team and for the reserves which both play in the North Gloucestershire Football League.

The firsts play in the Premier division while the second team is in the second division.

They play their home games on the pitch next to Soudley Village Hall.

Chantelle Harris, customer service director of the audiology team, says: “As a team, we’re passionate about giving back to the local community and supporting grassroots sport.

“We're delighted to be able to support Soudley AFC and will definitely be keeping a close eye on the teams over the season.

“We hope the new kit adds a sense of pride and team spirit as they represent the club.'

Toby Baldwin, secretary of Soudley AFC, said: “We're extremely grateful to the Specsavers Home Visits team for their support as it goes a long way to help us keep the club running.

“Our first team has recently played in the final of the West Dean Charities Intermediate Section final, which was a great achievement for the players.

“The reserve team won the junior section of the same competition.”
