THE departure of three Cinderford Town players has been confirmed this week, with more expected to follow this summer.

Centre-half Nick Rhodes and forward George Lloyd both told outgoing manager John Brough of their intention to leave the Causeway, with neither able to commit to the club’s busy schedule. Full-back Kyle Knott has also left the club.

Rhodes will return to Bishop’s Cleeve as he has travelling commitments planned in November, while George Lloyd is seeking a club closer to his Bristol home as he works in Milton Keynes.

Knott announced his departure via Twitter, saying "Been an incredible few seasons at @Cinderford_Town but unfortunately my time at the club has come to an end.

"What we've achieved has been unforgettable! Massive thanks to the staff, fans and players for making it so enjoyable. It's been a pleasure Cinderford."

Captain Keiran Thomas and top goalscorer Ethan Moore are both being courted by Gloucester City, while midfielder Lorcan Sheehan has reportedly finalised a move to Evesham United.

Sheehan joins up with Gerry Oldham, who left his post as Brough’s assistant manager for the same role at Evesham, and coach Mark Lockwood.

Lydney-raised midfielder Joe Turley, who went travelling midway through the season, is also expected to follow Sheehan, Oldham and Lockwood.
