Cinderford v Charlton Kings

CINDERFORD started disastrously after losing the toss and being put into bat.

Both openers, Matt Whitney and Eddie Ruck, went for ducks.

Nigel Cartwright and Richard Henry added 65 for the third wicket with Henry the dominant player. He struck nine fours and three sixes in a defiant knock of 61.

Marc Van Rooyen (20) and Mark House (21) helped push Cinderford up to 170 all out by the close.

After tea, Cinderford kept chipping out wickets to leave Kings precariously placed on 121-6.

Opener Chris Burrow stood firm, however, making an unbeaten 72 from 135 balls to guide his side home with three wickets and just one over to spare.
