THE season may have just finished for Cinderford Rugby Club, but director of rugby Andy Deacon has already begun the job of building his squad for 2013/14.

Deacon wants to improve the relationship with Gloucester Rugby Club and put arrangements with the Cherry & Whites on a more organised footing.

This week, he attended a meeting with Gloucester representatives, including head coach Nigel Davies and Alex Brown, recently appointed operations manager at Kingsholm.

Deacon said: "Without preempting things, if things go well it could be an exciting partnership.

"I think the likes of Rob Langley and Tom Heard have benefited from coming to us this year."
