THE Lydney bowling attack got off to the perfect start in the game against Tetbury.
Niall Halford moved to his right to take an easy catch off the bowling of Jack O’Connell.
There was more to celebrate as Tom Morris bowled Ashen in the second for 13-2.
The home side got themselves back into the game with 50 off the next six overs.
Callum Miller bowled Wand, who had hit 22 off 21 balls, to make it 66-3.
The edge was further taken off the Tetbury challenge as they lost four wickets cheaply.
Miller claimed a second when he had Golding leg before and 84-4 at the end of the 12th.
Stone got his first wicket four balls later when Hugh Gibbs took a catch near the boundary to make it 85-5.
Stone was on target again with the fourth ball of the 17th over as he bowled Meacham to make it 99-6.
Again, Tetbury lost another wicket quickly, Stone catching Job – the home side’s top scorer with 42 – leg before with the opening ball of the 18th over.
Tetbury were now 99-7 and Stone was poised to strike again in the next over.
He struck with the third ball of the 19th over to bowl Lamplugh which left Tetbury on 105-8.
Flowers and Anderson managed to put on 30 for the ninth wicket but Stone ended the Tetbury challenge with two wickets in the 25th.
He bowled Flowers with the second ball of the over to leave the home side on 135-9 and fall balls later Jake Bonser took a catch to end the innings on 136, some 74 runs short of the target.
Stone finished with figures of 5-28 off seven overs with one maiden and Miller 3-40 off nine.
