A FOREST Combination XV went down 33-16 to a strong County side as part of celebrations of 100 years of competing for the Combinations Cup.

A bumper crowd of 400 enjoyed the action at Lydney RFC's Regentsholme as three players each from Berry Hill, Bream, Cinderford, Drybrook, Lydney, Newent, Ross and Westbury rugby clubs banded together for the Forest.

Secretary of the Combination, John Wood, hailed the game as a 'fantastic' occasion.
