MIKE Austin was named Cinderford’s Players’ Player of the Year and George Porter was Supporters’ Player of the Year at the club’s annual dinner and presentation evening.

The guest speaker for the evening was dual-code international and TV commentator Jonathan Davies.

The club was celebrating its best-ever season in National One which saw the Foresters finish in fifth position.

The first XV ended the season with 96 points from 28 games with 18 wins, a draw and nine defeats. They scored 802 points and conceded 586.

Top points scorer was Reece Boughton with 193 and the top try scorer Nathan Taylor with 28 while Will Baldwin made the most appearances with 28.

Cinderford United XV won 10 of their 17 matches with a draw and six defeats. They scored 384 with 282 agans Paul Morgan was the leading points scorer with 51, the top try scorer, was Will Haly with seven and Jonny Holliday had most appearances with 17.

The Stags played 19, won 14 and lost 5 with 622 points for and 153 against.

The ‘Bumps’ Carpenter Front Row Player of the Season was Nathan Taylor.

Jonny Holliday was named United Player of the Season.

Reuben Hinds won the award for the Stags.

Jenson Gardiner was Player of the Season for the Colts.

The Bloxham Cup, which recognises voluntary work for the club, was awarded to Jason Kibble and Chris Jackson.
