CINDERFORD'S status as a National One club next season has been secured after it was thrown into doubt last week.
Old Albanian RFC, the club who finished a point below the Foresters in the league this season and were duly relegated, appealed to the National Clubs Association over the five-point deduction they received earlier in the year.
The club were initially docked ten points before it was reduced to five, allowing Cinderford to overtake them in the race to avoid relegation.
Old Albanian's appeal was based no the punishment received by Gloucester for a similar offence, but the NCA threw out their claim just days after it was submitted.
