TEENAGE bowler Robbie Jones took his tally of wickets to eight in two games as Parkend won by the largest possible margin for the second week in a row.

Jones, who recently completed his GCSEs, took three wickets for just five runs off 4.5 overs against Gloucester on Saturday.

The previous week at Upton St Leonards, he took 5-20 off seven overs.

Parkend won both matches by 10 wickets and picked up 22 league points from each.

The Foresters, who were promoted to Division Six this season, are now second in the table after 11 games.

On Saturday, Gloucester won the toss and elected but were soon struggling as runs proved difficult to come by for the visitors

Jones struck early, beating Gloucester captain Lloyd Harrington with the score on five.

By the end of the fifth over, the scoreboard was still stuck in single figures.

Mark Moodie took a catch, off the bowling of Ryan Burris, to dismiss Fahim Fadra and Gloucester were 13-2.

The score had moved onto 30 when the third wicket fell, Josh Middlecote taking the catch off the bowling of Moodie.

Wicketkeeper Henry Blunt proved quick with the hands to claim two stumpings.

The first was Ryan Hooper who went for five of the bowling of Burris to make it 36-4.

That became 47-5 when opener Richard Tuttle was caught leg before by Moodie.

Gloucester had added one to their score when Kaihaan Zakhil was caught by Blunt off the bowling of Robbie Moore.

Moore struck again to catch Joshua Wilshaw leg before to reduce the visitors to 54-7.

There then followed a period of relative calm for Gloucester as Raymond Harrington and Taj c put on 36 for the eighth wicket.

Taj Ahmadzai was bowled by Robbie Jones to make it 90-8 and he made the delivery that led to top scorer Harrington being stumped to close the innings on 91.

Openers Josh Middlecote and captain Luke Aldridge had no trouble in chasing down the target, requiring just 13 overs.

Middlecote hit 62 off 54 balls with seven boundaries and four sixes while Aldridge contributed eight runs. The figures for the Parkend bowlers were: Robbie Jones: 3-5-4.5, Ryan Burris 2-15-5, Mark Moodie 2-17-8, Robbie Moore 2-23-8, Scott Ayres 0-8-5, Josh Middlecote 0-19-5.
