HIGH-FLYING Yorkley managed to complete a 95-run win over Newent II at the Cut & Fry.

Put into bat, Yorkley scored 192 all out in 39.2 overs with runs from the top four in their order, Ben Homer (38), Mike Bailey (44), Liam Hurcombe (29) and Dan Edmunds (30). There were three run outs in the Yorkley innings, while Sam Wallace (2-26), Andrew Henson (2-22) and Laurence Hull (2-52) also picked up wickets.

By contrast, the top four in Newent's order all went cheaply, but Bradley Smith (23), Andrew Henson (17) and Ollie Beale (25) stopped the rot. Ed Stubbs (2-20), Ben Homer (3-12), Tom Worgan (2-13) and Liam Hurcombe (2-20) shone with the ball, however, as Newent were dismissed for 97 in 38.3 overs.
