THE annual Proms in the Park in Ross-on-Wye attracted a big crowd, even with the umbrellas being evident as both a sun parasol and protection from the rain.

Many visitors took the opportunity to have a picnic while listening to the music of Frankie Wesson and Ebbw Valley Brass and the singing of the Border Belles Ladies’ Choir,

Driven by the creative vision of conductor/founder Emma Rowland-Elsen, the choir offers a supportive and empowering space where women unite through the power of music, to foster wellbeing, self-expression and camaraderie.

The choir has a repertoire that contains everything from folk to gospel, classical to musicals.

New members are always welcome to join the choir with no experience needed. Go along to Bridstow Primary School on Wednesday evenings from 7.30pm.
