Two planning applications affecting listed buildings and conservation areas have been formally submitted and are now open for public comment.

In Newnham, an application has been made for listed building consent relating to The Club on High Street. The proposal seeks permission for the rebuilding of a boundary wall using original bricks and lime mortar, along with the demolition of part of the existing wall. Some of the works are described as part retrospective.

Meanwhile in Lydney, listed building consent has been submitted for alterations to Lydney Baptist Chapel on High Street. The plans include the demolition of a rear hall and lean‑to, the creation of a fixed glazed opening, blocking up of two doors, installation of a false ceiling and internal works to provide new bedrooms, bathrooms and an office.
