Residents are being invited to have their say on a number of planning applications affecting historic buildings in the Forest of Dean.
Forest of Dean District Council has confirmed it has received applications for works within conservation areas and to listed buildings in both Newnham and Lydney.
In Newnham, listed building consent has been sought for the partial demolition and rebuilding of a boundary wall at The Club on High Street. The plans propose reusing original bricks and traditional lime mortar to maintain the character of the historic site.
Meanwhile, more extensive changes are proposed at Lydney Baptist Chapel on High Street. The application includes demolition of the rear hall and lean-to, along with internal alterations to create bedrooms, bathrooms and office space. Changes also include new partition walls, a false ceiling and alterations to doors and windows.

The applications can be viewed online via the council’s website or at the council offices in Coleford. Public comments must be submitted by May 6.
