There has been a fresh set of public notices published, including new planning applications, a goods vehicle operator’s licence change and a statutory notice relating to a deceased estate.

Some submissions are now open for public comment, with deadlines set across the coming weeks.

Planning applications across the district

A series of new proposals has been lodged with Forest of Dean District Council, covering developments in Taynton, Minsterworth, Brockweir and Blakeney.

Two applications affect public rights of way. At Drews Farm, Taynton, an equestrian training facility is proposed under reference P0987/26/FUL, involving the conversion of existing storage buildings, new office accommodation and a viewing terrace. Meanwhile, P0871/26/FUL seeks permission for a roofing structure over an agricultural yard at Ley Court Farm, Minsterworth.

One scheme has been flagged as not appearing to accord with the current development plan. Application P1014/26/FUL proposes a single dwelling at The Triangle, Brockweir, including demolition of existing garages and installation of access, parking and drainage.

Within a conservation area, Mill Cottage in Millend, Blakeney has submitted P0992/26/FUL for a two‑storey side extension, including demolition of the existing garage and alterations to fenestration.

Applications can be inspected electronically at the council offices in Coleford during opening hours or via fdean.gov.uk. Written representations must be submitted by Tuesday, September 30, 2026.

Haulage firm seeks licence variation

Sinderby Reid Haulage Ltd has applied to vary its goods vehicle operator’s licence by adding an operating centre at Unit 3, Whimsey Industrial Estate, Cinderford. The proposal would allow the company to keep six goods vehicles and sixteen trailers at the site.

Residents living near the operating centre who believe their use or enjoyment of land may be affected have 21 days from the notice date to write to the Traffic Commissioner in Leeds, copying their representation to the applicant.

Estate of Nicholas Clive Sessions

A statutory notice has been issued regarding the estate of Nicholas Clive Sessions, late of Hillberry Road, Cinderford, who died on Monday, April 6, 2026. Anyone with a claim or interest must notify Gwyn James Legal Ltd by Thursday, November 12, 2026, after which the estate will be distributed with regard only to claims received.
