AN internet bullying site, spreading malicious rumours about school pupils and its teachers, has been closed down.

An offensive Twitter account targeted pupils at Sedbury's Wyedean School & Sixth Form Centre along with those at two neighbouring comprehensive schools in South Wales. All of the schools have taken action against the internet trolls bullying students.

Local police are also investigating after a group of unknown teenagers set up Twitter profiles- known as Burn Books - after being inspired by the gossip diary in the film Mean Girls that was released in 2004.
