POLICE are coming under pressure after the fifth attack on farmers' livestock around Walmore Common.
Graham Bennett, of Grange Court Farm, Westbury-on-Severn, is the latest farmer to complain after the dogs savaged his sheep and drove others into drainage ditches where they drowned last week.
"Something has to be done because it keeps happening," he said. "It's beyond a joke."
It is the second time it has happened to him – and three of his neighbours say the dogs have chased, injured or killed their animals in the past.
They have complained about Graham and Sally Gardiner's dogs chasing animals on the common and nearby fields.
But they say despite promising farmers and police to pen them in permanently, the dogs still run free and are a menace.
Police say they have tried to resolve the issue in the past and are currently investigating the latest incident.
