A LYDNEY man will face sentencing next month after admitting threatening another man with a knife.
Benjamin Wood, 18, of Springfield Road pleaded guilty to numerous offences at Cheltenham Magistrates’ Court.
Wood admitted possession of a knife blade, or sharp-pointed article in a public place. He also admitted a charge of threatening a person with an offensive weapon, bladed article or corrosive substance in a private place.
Wood also pleaded guilty to non-violent burglary at a dwelling in Cinderford, where he stole a black jacket and a pair of Nike trainers.
The 18-year-old was remanded on bail until his next hearing at Cheltenham Magistrates’ Court on November 20.
The court heard this was for Wood to undergo a mental health assessment and to prevent further offending.
His bail conditions state he is not to contact the victim either directly or indirectly.
